UNIVA America has signed a distribution agreement with Suzakiya in June 2024 to introduce its premium Gosan-yaki castella cake to the U.S. market.

This partnership marks a significant step in bringing authentic Japanese confectionery to American consumers and expanding Suzakiya’s distribution channels across the United States.


Preparing for U.S. Market Entry

Ahead of the official product launch, Suzakiya will showcase its castella at the Japanese Food Expo 2024 in Los Angeles on November 2, 2024. This exhibition will serve as the starting point for building relationships with U.S. buyers and initiating sales activities.


Building Distribution and E-commerce Channels

To support market entry, UNIVA America is implementing a multi-channel strategy, including:

  • Launching an English-language product website to communicate brand value and product details
  • Developing e-commerce solutions to enable direct-to-consumer sales
