On December 18, 2017, UNIVA America, Inc., signed a contract with SANDEN VENDO AMERICA, Inc., the US subsidiary of Sanden Holdings Corporation, regarding sales of commercial refrigerators and a refrigeration storage system (KURABAN) within the United States. The SANDEN VENDO AMERICA New York Sales Office has been established in the office of UNIVA America, Inc., to develop the marketing strategy and manage actual sales, primarily in the East Coast region. Exclusive distribution rights have been obtained for most of the East Coast (excluding four states: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida). We will also launch sales operations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, and Seattle, although we do not have exclusive rights.
The Kuraban system’s unique technology allows food to be kept at temperatures under 0°C without freezing and prevents the growth of bacteria within foods so that food is maintained in better condition and for a significantly longer period of time than in a conventional refrigerator or freezer. Its proprietary technology also allows food to be aged and preserved at the same time. In other words, the Kuraban system makes it possible to achieve two conflicting effects at the same time—maintaining the freshness of food and aging food.
