UNIVA America, Inc. proudly exhibited at the World Tea Expo 2025 in Las Vegas, the largest tea-focused trade show in the United States, as part of our ongoing efforts to promote Wakohen Co., Ltd. and expand its distribution network across the U.S. market.

This year, we collaborated with the Japan Ochawari Association to introduce American audiences to a new way to enjoy Japanese tea—through tea cocktails. Our booth featured six original tea-based cocktails, all crafted using Wakohen’s premium teas. To bring these creations to life, we partnered with Kilala Barns, a U.S.-based bartender, who developed the cocktails from her unique perspective, drawing out the distinctive characteristics and full flavor profiles of Wakohen’s teas.

At the Tea Bar, Kilala also gave presentations on the appeal of “Ochawari” (tea-based mixed drinks), not only focusing on their taste but also on their health benefits—something that resonated strongly with attendees.

Because the World Tea Expo was held in conjunction with the Bar & Restaurant Show, our booth welcomed not only café and tea shop owners but also a large number of bar and restaurant professionals. The booth remained lively throughout the event, constantly filled with visitors eager to experience our tea cocktails.

In addition, several of Wakohen’s teas were entered into the prestigious Grand Tea Champions competition, where they underwent a highly selective judging process. We’re proud to announce that Wakohen received awards in three different categories, a testament to the quality and excellence of their teas.

🏆 Award 1   Leaf Teas Origin Awards – Japan : Ryokucha Densetsu Kiwami

🏆 Award 2  Superior Awards – Superior Liquor: Kakuhori Fukamushi Sencha

🏆 Award 3  Premium Awards – Green Tea Steamed:Ryokuca Densetsu Kiwami

Following the success of this event, UNIVA America, Inc. will continue to follow up on the promising leads we gained, with a strong focus on building new distribution channels into the restaurant and bar industries in the U.S.

Stay tuned for more exciting developments as we bring the unique taste and versatility of Japanese tea to more people across America.
